Civil Rights Heroes Parade
As part of our learning our second graders have been exploring the lives and impact of Civil Rights Heroes. Through this study, we have discussed the essential question: How do people respond to injustice?
To celebrate and honor their learning, students participated in a special event where they marched and sang “Agents of Change”. Students held signs reflecting important values such as treating everyone with kindness, standing up for what is right, and never giving up on making the world a better place.
This was a wonderful opportunity for students to express their voices and show what they have learned about courage, fairness, and the power of change. We are so proud of their hard work and excitement in sharing this meaningful experience with the whole school!
