• What is the school’s web address?
  • pv.dasd.org
• Where can I find the lunch menu?
  • On our website, click on “Food Menus” located on the bottom of our homepage.
• How do I pay for my child’s lunch?
  • Go to www.payschoolscentral.com to create an account for your child. You will need their student ID# which you can get on the Parent Portal or by contacting the school office.
• What activity fees do I need to pay and how do I that?
  • Students in grades 3-5 who participate in Chorus, Band, or Strings need to pay an annual $25 Music activity fee.
  • Students in grades 4-5 who participate in Intramural Sports need to pay an annual $25 Intramural/Club activity fee.
  • Students in grades 4-5 who participate in the Drama Club need to pay an annual $25 Intramural/Club activity fee. (If your child participates in intramurals and drama club, you only need to pay once.)
• How do I pay my student’s technology fee?
  • All students in grades K-12 are assigned a technology fee for the use of their 1:1 device. This annual fee of $50 can be paid on www.payschoolscentral.com.
• Go to www.payschoolscentral.com to pay all activity fees.
• How do I report my child absent?
  • Email PV_attendance@dasd.org to report your child’s absence.
• How do I request permission for my child to miss school for a family trip?
  • All trips must be approved by the principal at least 3 days prior to the absence by completing a Request Form for Educational and Family Trips. This form is located on our website under Parents/Attendance. If a trip requires the student to miss 10 or more consecutive school days, the student will be withdrawn per board policy.
• How do I access the Parent Portal?
  • Click on the Parent Portal icon on the PV homepage.
• During the school year who do I notify if my phone number or email address changes?
  • Please contact the school office immediately to make sure we have your current contact info.
• What do I need in order to volunteer in my child’s classroom?
  • To volunteer in our classrooms (including attending class parties) you must have current clearances on file with the school office.
  • Clearances are free to parent volunteers and the links to complete them online can be found on our website under Resources/Backpack/Volunteer.
  • Clearances are valid for 5 years.

    • Child Abuse History
    • Federal Criminal History Report/FBI Fingerprints (only if you have lived in PA less than 10 years)
    • TB test
    • All volunteers also need to fill out a Volunteer Disclosure Form  annually. This form can be found online or in the school office.
• How do I find out about Home & School (PVSA) opportunities?
  • Information about our Home & School Association (PVSA) can be found on our website using the PVSA tab under Resources/Backpack.
